Dolce&Gabbana sent out on the runway during Milan’s fashion week a collection laden with symbolism and gravitas. Madonnas and Saints printed on t-shirts like contemporary shrouds, Altarpiece sweaters and flower printed blazers, just like Church decorations. White shirts reminiscent of Altar Boy vestments and collarless shirts like priest’s cassocks. A finale of velvet shrouded men like a procession of worshippers on their way out of mass dressed in their Sunday best.
