When you work for Dolce&Gabbana, even fetching coffee can turn out to be an exciting experience.
During Milan Men’s Fashion week in June, Giampaolo Sgura shot a fashion shoot for Magazine Antidote featuring the FW11 Dolce&Gabbana men’s shoes, with the exceptional collaboration of Mr Dolce and Mr Gabbana as stylist.
G., the editor in chief of Swide was assisting to the shoot on a set behind the backstage of the fashion show at Metropol. I was minding my own business, rummaging through the collection which was about to take to the catwalk when G. summoned me. He asked me to go fetch a coffee for Mr Sgura. I was a little put out as I’m not usually in the habit of going on coffee runs, but you know, when working in a team, everyone has to pull their weight, even if it’s a refreshment cart!
As I made my way to the set, coffee in hand, I was wondering what all the fuss was about, and then I opened the door: Lo and behold, Mr Dolce, Mr Gabbana, Mr Sgura, an unmade bed with a semi-naked Sam Webb lying in, as well as a plethora the other most attractive male models on the fashion scene in their underwear … I was transfixed.
As a fan of models (have you seen all my pictures with David Gandy?!?) and a lover of fashion, I whipped out my trusty iphone and started taking a few pictures, for my own record, you know…. Of course, when the security saw me snapping away, I got kicked out, but not before handing over his coffee to Mr Sgura that is! Read more on Swide.
Papazzi in the backstage? i had asked Sam Webb if we could take a picture together and he had told me to sit on his lap! God i was embarassed but we did it and it is one of my favourite photos ever!
